With the GFX 50S mirrorless medium format camera and the GF Lens, Fujifilm has created a shooting system whose high imaging performance inspires many professional photographers and passionate photo enthusiasts. Now Fujifilm is expanding its medium format system with the Fujinon GF45 mm F2.8 R WR wide-angle lens. With a focal length of 36 mm (equivalent to 35 mm format), the lens, which will be available from November, is particularly versatile and, thanks to its compact and lightweight design, is ideal for reportage and street photography.
With GF Lens, photographers can achieve the highest level of image quality and express their creativity like never before. They are specially developed for the large image sensor of the GFX medium format system, which is 1.7 times larger than a 35 mm sensor (full format sensor). The lenses guarantee very high resolution performance and excellent color reproduction. The result is images that capture the special atmosphere at the moment the shutter is released in almost three-dimensional images.
High resolution performance
Like all GF Lens, the new GF45 mm F2.8 R WR achieves an extremely high imaging performance that will also do justice to the higher megapixel resolution of future camera generations. The optical construction comprises eleven elements in eight groups, including an aspherical lens and two ED glass elements, which effectively minimize optical aberrations.
The focus group consists of six elements, which are moved simultaneously when focusing, thus guaranteeing consistently high image quality at any shooting distance.
The Nano GI coating prevents stray light and reflections inside the lens caused by oblique incident light.
Compact and lightweight design
Despite its high imaging performance, the GF45mmF2.8 is surprisingly handy. It weighs only 490 grams and is very compact with dimensions of 84 mm x 88 mm (diameter x length).
Splashproof and dustproof
The new GF Lens is optimally designed for the tough demands of everyday professional use and can be used without hesitation even in bad weather. The robust barrel is weather-sealed in ten places, making the GF45 mm F2.8 insensitive to splash water and dust. Intuitive operation The aperture ring has a C position (command dial mode). When selected, the aperture value is set using the control wheel on the camera. The ring can be locked in the A (Auto) and C positions to prevent unintentional adjustment of the aperture values.

You assume full responsibility for your content.
