  • fast and weather sealed zoom lens
  • for the mirrorless system cameras of the X series
  • covers a focal length range of 24-84mm (equivalent to KB)
  • special HT-EBC coating and Nano GI coating also minimize surface reflections
Standard zoom lens with maximum image quality

To achieve the best image quality in this lens class, the fast standard zoom lens offers a continuous aperture of F2.8 and consists of 17 elements in 12 groups. This includes three aspherical lenses and three ED lenses. FUJINON's proprietary HT-EBC coating and Nano GI coating also minimize surface reflections.

The XF16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR features nine aperture blades that result in a nearly circular aperture, allowing for an excellent soft blur effect.

When combined with an X-series system camera* equipped with the "Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO)" function, the XF16-55mm also achieves improved resolving power at all aperture stops.

*"FUJIFILM X-T1," "FUJIFILM X-T1GS and "FUJIFILM X-E2" (as of January 2015)

Weatherproof, dustproof, and cold-resistant

The XF16-55mm is sealed at 14 points. This makes the Lens both splash-proof and dust-proof. It is also cold-resistant down to a temperature of minus ten degrees. This makes the Lens a perfect match for the FUJIFILM X-T1 and its VG-XT1 battery grip, both of which are also weather and dust resistant.

Premium quality and convenient operation

The focus and aperture rings are made of metal, as is the lens body. The texture and torque of the adjustment rings ensure optimal handling, especially when focusing manually. The lens bayonet is made of brass, making it extremely sturdy.

With its weight of 655 grams, the FUJINON XF16-55mm is also light and handy. Combined with a camera body, the weight is only about 60 percent of what a comparable SLR would weigh on the scale.***

The "AF+MF" function allows seamless manual focusing. When the shutter button is pressed halfway to automatically focus on the subject, fine adjustment can be made using the manual focus ring.*4

*4 A firmware upgrade to the corresponding camera body is required to use this function. (Applicable models: FUJIFILM X-Pro1 / X-E1 / X-E2 / X-T1 / X-T1GS)
