The MB-N12 is a dust and dripping water resistant multi-functional handgrip that can be used for vertical shooting and extends shooting time compared to using the camera battery alone. It is also good at balancing the weight of telephoto lenses.

Vertical shooting controls include the shutter release button, main dial and front dial, AF-ON button, sub dial, and function buttons (Fn). With two EN-EL15c batteries in the grip, you get up to 1.8x longer operating time and can hot-swap the batteries as needed. Plus, a USB-C port on the grip lets you charge two batteries in succession when the grip is not attached to the camera: perfect for overnight charging.
