DC-G91EG-K
LUMIXG interchangeable lens camera
With its 20 megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor, the latest Venus Engine image processor and 5-axis Dual-IS (image stabilization), the LUMIX G91 is ideally equipped for a wide range of different shooting situations.

The body design of the G91 has been further optimized for ease of use. Its dust and splash protection makes the G91 the perfect travel camera. An integrated OLED viewfinder combined with a fold-out and tilting 7.5 cm OLED touchscreen makes it easier to compose images even from unusual angles.

For videography, the LUMIX G91 offers 4K and Full HD video recording with various frame rates. Storage on external recording media is also possible. Video recording can also be made with unlimited duration. The video offering is complemented by a 3.5 mm microphone connection and now also a new headphone socket.

The 4K photo modes, already proven in other LUMIX models, make it easier to capture fleeting moments with pinpoint accuracy. The LUMIX G91 adds new functions such as sequence composition and auto-marking. Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity make it easy to share images on the move. The USB charging function makes it independent of the mains power supply.
This makes the LUMIX G91 an excellent and versatile option for demanding photography and videography.

LUMIXG91 in detail
Outstanding image quality and super-fast autofocus
The G91's 20 megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor works without a low-pass filter to guarantee the greatest possible level of detail. In combination with the Venus Engine image processor, this produces natural, true-to-life images with a wide dynamic range.

The LUMIX G91's 5-axis Dual I.S. image stabilization, which combines optical and sensor stabilization, ensures blur-free images. It corrects motion blur by up to 5 EV steps when taking long exposures freehand. The G91's image stabilization guarantees stable images in both stills and video, including 4K video.

The high-speed autofocus (AF) with a response time of just 0.07 s and high-speed continuous shooting at 9 fps (AF-S) or 6 fps (AF-C) are ideal for sharp images of fast-moving subjects. With Depth From Defocus (DFD) technology, the G91 reliably tracks moving objects. The AF sensitivity setting can be adapted to the movement of the subject as required.

Face/Eye Detection AF automatically recognizes human faces for targeted focusing. Other focusing modes such as Pinpoint AF for pinpoint focus orientation and Low Light AF for low light conditions complete the range. A user-definable Custom Multi AF allows the user to select differently positioned blocks from 49 focus detection areas. In manual focus mode, Focus Peaking facilitates precise focusing.

Design and ergonomics improved
New buttons for quick access to key functions
Revised grip for comfortable and secure hold

The design of the LUMIX G91 has been revised for easier operation. Three new buttons for exposure, ISO and white balance, arranged in a row at the top of the camera, allow quick access. The buttons on the back around the thumbwheel allow quick access to various settings during shooting and playback. The front and rear dials at the top right of the G91 are used for direct adjustment of shooting parameters and can be individually configured.

Image control is carried out either via the large OLED live viewfinder with 2.36 million pixels, 100% field of view and 0.74x magnification or the fold-out and tilting 7.5 cm OLED touchscreen monitor with 1.04 pixels.

The revised housing design of the G91 consists of a full die-cast magnesium alloy front frame. The redesigned grip offers a more comfortable and secure hold when shooting. Seals protect all body joints, dials and buttons from dust and splash water1 so that the LUMIX G91 can be used in adverse environmental conditions.
1 Dust and splash proof does not mean that no damage will occur if the camera is exposed to direct contact with dust and water.

Variable video functions
The LUMIX G91 is a true hybrid camera for both photo and video recording. It is characterized by a wide range of video functions. It records high-resolution 4K videos with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and with 30p/25p or 24p as MP4 videos or Full HD video with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at up to 60p. Recording takes place in MP4 format. Continuous AF is also available for video. High-speed video for recording slow-motion videos is possible in Full HD at 120 fps (1/4x), 90 fps (1/3x) and 60 fps (1/2x).

The video signal can also be output to an external monitor in 4:2:2 / 8bit2 during recording via the HDMI output and an (optional) HDMI cable. V-Log L is pre-installed for a greater dynamic range for color representation in post-production. There is also a 3.5 mm microphone socket for high-quality audio recordings and a headphone socket.

The G91 is also equipped with the familiar 4K photo modes of the LUMIX cameras. They make it possible to extract fleeting moments from a 4K video at 30 fps. This is now even easier thanks to the new auto-marking function, which automatically recognizes changes in the image content and marks new scenes. The G91 also allows the creation of "Stromotion" images by combining multiple images into one shot to achieve this unusual effect.

Creative composition options
In addition to fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual settings, the LUMIX G91 offers various options for very special image composition when shooting, including
Post Focus / Focus Stacking and Bracketing
varied photo styles, such as "dynamic monochrome"
Live View Composite Recording

By using Depth From Defocus (DFD) autofocus technology and combining it with 4K photo, the G91 offers the possibility to change the focus point after shooting (Post Focus mode). The Focus Stacking function extends the depth of field by combining multiple images. Users can also capture a maximum of 999 images with graduated focus using the Focus Bracketing function to create images with varying depth of field.

As an addition to the many photo styles familiar from LUMIX cameras, the G91 enables the capture of dynamic monochrome images with special emphasis on highlights and shadows while retaining details. L.Monochrome D complements the standard Monochrome and L.Monochrome colors and offers even more differentiated darker areas. All monochrome modes can be combined with a grain effect to achieve image results with an analog film look.

The newly added LiveView composite recording function is useful for capturing fireworks or stars in the night sky, for example. This function releases the shutter at specific intervals and combines various subject details with high brightness in a single image against a consistently dark background.

Powerful performance
With the G91, Panasonic introduces an energy-saving function that automatically puts the camera into sleep mode after a period of inactivity detected by the eye sensor. A light tap on the shutter button makes the camera ready to shoot again immediately. This achieves a long-lasting battery life of approx. 900 images per charge.3

The battery grip (DMW-BGG1) is available for even more power. As well as extending the battery life, it offers a range of additional controls for more comfortable portrait format shooting. Like the G91, the DMW-BGG1 has a robust, splash-proof and dust-proof body.4

With integrated Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 2.4 GHz, friends and family can be kept up to date with the latest shots at all times. Bluetooth Low Energy enables a constant connection with minimal power consumption for easy and fast image transfer as well as optional automatic GPS tagging (for example via a smartphone).

3 Under test conditions according to LUMIX and CIPA standards with the energy-saving function set to 3 seconds.
4 Dust and splash proof does not mean that no damage will occur if the camera is exposed to direct contact with dust and water.

LumixG Lens
With the new version of the LUMIX G VARIO 14-140 mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. II / Power O.I.S., Panasonic offers a 10x superzoom Lens with compact dimensions equivalent to the 3x standard zooms of many DSLR cameras. In the new dust and splash-proof version, the Micro FourThirds standard Lens can now also be used in harsher environments - without compromising on functionality. With a zoom range of 28-280 mm (equivalent to KB), it is recommended for a wide range of shooting situations from landscape to portrait.

The construction of 14 lens elements in 12 groups also includes three aspherical lenses and two ED lenses. While maintaining high optical performance over the entire zoom range, it is compact and lightweight despite its fast wide-angle lens and excellent image stabilizer: 7.5 x 6.7 cm at 265 g.

Focusing is performed by a responsive, precise and quiet internal focusing system driven by a stepper motor. Thanks to the maximum sensor readout of 240 Hz, the Lens is ideally suited for the high-speed AF of current LUMIX G cameras for both image and video recording. The POWER O.I.S. optical image stabilizer guarantees exceptionally sharp images, even at telephoto and in low-light situations, by effectively compensating for camera shake caused by hand movements. It is also compatible with dual stabilization (Dual IS) to compensate for camera shake even more effectively in combination with body stabilizers.

The seven blades of the zoom result in an almost circular aperture, which produces a harmonious blurring of the background, especially at larger apertures. With its high-quality metallic finish in black, the LUMIX G VARIO 14-140 mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. perfectly matches the style of the LUMIX G cameras.
