HS Freeze 1S clip-on flash
The Rollei HS Freeze 1s extends the successful HS Freeze flash family with the first clip-on flash. Equipped with a lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 1,600 mAh, a flash output of 80 Ws and a guide number of 60, each adjustable in 9 f-stops, it offers flexibility and performance in a portable format.

With a single battery charge, you can achieve over 450 shutter releases, so that you have enough power to capture your motifs exactly as desired when you are on the move. The clip-on flash is compatible with Canon, Sony*, Nikon, Fuji, Panasonic and Olympus cameras as well as with the radio transmitters "Rollei Profi Radio Transmitter", Rollei Profi Radio Transmitter Mark II and Rollei Profi U7 Radio Trigger.
*Sony is only compatible with a separately available adapter!

Thanks to the fast recycling time of just 1.5 seconds, shooting in quick succession is no problem. The HS Freeze 1s clip-on flash is also impressive in terms of flash duration - up to 1/10,000 s in normal mode and 1/50,000 s in freeze mode with an effective flash duration of t = 0.5.

With Speedlite mode, Master mode and Slave mode, the Rollei clip-on flash offers three different modes for use.

In Speedlite mode, the flash is triggered exclusively via the hot shoe of the connected camera.
In Master mode, the clip-on flash functions as a radio remote trigger for compatible flashes. The integrated flash of the flash head can be activated or deactivated.
In slave mode, the flash can be triggered via other radio triggers, such as the Profi Radio Trigger Mark II.

The HS Freeze 1s clip-on flash offers TTL and manual flash modes.

With TTL, you can enjoy convenient automatic functions, which prove to be very advantageous in changing light conditions, e.g. during outdoor shootings, as they save you the constant manual correction of the flash output on the device.

In manual mode (M), you can easily set the desired flash output and all other settings manually via the 2.8" touchscreen.

The flash has the following synchronization modes in Speedlite, Slave and Master mode.

  1. HSS high-speed synchronization enables faster shutter speeds than the usual flash sync speeds. Depending on the camera model, this can be up to 1/10,000 of a second.
  2. Depending on the camera model, freeze synchronization offers even higher shutter speeds of up to 1/50,000 s(t = 0.5). With even faster shutter speeds, you can freeze fast movements, flash against the sun and use more open apertures when taking portraits outdoors.
  3. When synchronizing to the first shutter, the flash is triggered at the beginning with a short sync time and then the ambient light is used to display the movement.
  4. When synchronizing to the second shutter, the flash is triggered at the end of the shutter speed with a short firing time after the movement has been captured using the ambient light.

To avoid interference when working with multiple devices, you can work on 31 channels and 6 groups.

The integrated ¼" threaded connection on the outside of the HS Freeze 1s and the supplied cold shoe stand offer additional flexibility for creative settings and operation via remote trigger. The scope of delivery also includes a practical carrying bag that protects the clip-on flash from dirt and dust, as well as a bounce card, a charger with charging cable, a USB-C cable for firmware updates and a replaceable lithium-polymer battery.

With all these features, it is still compact and weighs just 460 g without the battery. So you can easily take it with you wherever you go without having to carry heavy luggage.
