The effective suppression of aberrations such as sagittal coma, which can no longer be corrected in the camera, contributes to the clean and detailed imaging behavior of the Lens over the entire image field. Unattractive effects such as ghost images and flares are minimized by a state-of-the-art optical calculation.
In addition, the use of the Super Multi-Layer and the nano-porous coating (NPC) gives the images of the SIGMA 24mm F1.4 DG DN | Art visual impact even in backlight and wide open. The SIGMA 24mm F1.4 DG DN | Art has both a front filter thread and a rear filter holder. A new MFL switch (Manual Focus Lock) deactivates the focus ring and prevents accidental adjustment of the distance setting, for example when taking pictures of the starry sky. The dust and splash-proof construction*1 of the Lens and the water and oil-repellent coating of the front lens allow safe use even under harsh conditions. Intelligent equipment details such as a switch for the focus mode, a configurable AFL button*2 and an aperture ring lock switch to prevent accidental adjustment also improve the flexible and intuitive operability of the Lens. The tulip-shaped lens hood snaps securely into place on the Lens. Videographers will appreciate the quiet and fast stepping motor for autofocus, and the switchable aperture ring lock enables smooth aperture adjustment.
