On September 18, we had an unforgettable evening at RheinRiff Düsseldorf together with many photo fans. In a relaxed atmosphere, there was plenty of opportunity to exchange ideas and network, an exciting talk with Q&A from Paul Hüttemann and, of course, the chance to try out the latest Sony cameras and Lens directly on professional surfers.

Sony offers a wide range of different cameras in different price categories. However, there are two perfect models for travel photography:
The Alpha 7 IV and the Alpha 6400a.
The Alpha 7 IV is Sony's most popular camera and rightly so! Equipped with a 33 megapixel full-frame sensor, this hybrid camera strikes the perfect balance between high resolution and flexibility. The outstanding autofocus system with face detection and tracking allows full concentration on image composition. The camera is not only a sensible long-term investment for beginners, but is also popular with absolute professionals. There is also a more compact alternative in the form of its sibling, the Alpha 7C II. It even comes with AI autofocus and advanced image stabilization. You can find out more about the Alpha 7C II in our video review.
The Alpha 6400a is aimed at beginners and content creators who value speed and flexibility. With its 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor, fast autofocus (0.02 seconds) and eye AF for people and animals, it delivers razor-sharp results in every situation. Thanks to 4K video with oversampling and the 180° flip display, it is also perfect for vlogging and social media content. Here too, Sony is offering the camera in a more compact form factor with the Alpha 7C R.
Both the a7IV and the a7R V are of course major investments. Of course, Sony also offers several options for smaller budgets. One of these is the APS-C camera ZV-E10, which comes with the versatile E-mount despite its small body.

Many Sony lenses also offer a manual aperture ring (with click/de-click), ideal for creative work on the go.

- First-class image quality & high-contrast colors
- Compact design for light luggage
- Reliable in wind & weather
- Fast, precise autofocus
For travel photography, three Sony zooms stand out in particular. With each of these lenses, every trip is covered with confidence:
As an entry-level all-rounder, the FE 24-105mm f/4.0 G accompanies you from wide panorama to detail. With continuous light intensity and integrated image stabilization, it is a reliable all-rounder.
If you like it particularly light and versatile, the FE 20-70mm f/4 G delivers more image at 20 mm in the narrow labyrinth of alleyways, on the coast or on the summit - compact, travel-friendly and with consistent f/4 for photo and video.
For maximum quality, you can rely on the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II: fast for atmospheric subjects in low light, with creamy bokeh, lightning-fast autofocus and a further weight-optimized design. The best of Sony in your hand luggage!
These three Sony G & G-Master Lens cover all the most important travel situations and bring you home safely with sharp, high-contrast results.
